I contacted Dr. Andreas Taeger himself to try to identify this Megalodontes. Admittedly this is very hard with photos alone. There are according to Taeger at least 3 additional species in the areas where this photo was taken. M. panzeri, M. cephalotes and M. plagiocephalus. Today barcoding technology is the only ways to determine between the 4 species for sure.
